Daryl "Doc" Seaman


Daryl "Doc" Seaman was born in Rouleau, Saskatchewan, on April 28, 1922.


His career has spanned over 60 years, and listed below are his achievements and awards:


Career Summary:

  • Honorary Life Member - The Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists.
  • 1943 Government of France Citation - RCAF Pilot, Flying Officer, operations with 500 Squadron RAF in North Africa and Italy.
  • 1949 Co-founder of Bow Valley Industries Ltd.
  • 1983-1985 Member - Royal Commission on the Economic Union and Development Prospects for Canada.
  • 1985 The Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicist Frank Spragins Award.
  • 1985 McGill Management Achievement Award.
  • 1989 Saskatchewan Oil & Gas Industry Hall of Fame.
  • 1993 Honorary Doctor of Laws, University of Calgary.
  • 1993 Officer, Order of Canada.
  • 1993 Paul Harris Fellowship Road.
