Duncan McNeill
Born in Edmonton in 1931, Duncan joined National Supply as a salesperson upon graduation and transferred to Calgary in 1956, as a sales engineer.
In 1958, he joined Robinson Oilfield Specialties Ltd. The company manufactured the first swing check valve used in the oil industry in 1962, as a result of Duncan's foresight in recognizing the need for Canadian-made products suited to Canadian conditions. The first manufacturing plant was built in 1962, and with Duncan's ingenuity and vision, the newly named Stream-Flo Industries Ltd. expanded its range of equipment to supply the rapidly growing pipeline industry.
In 1982, Mr. McNeill saw an opportunity to expand into a related business and purchased the assets of Master Flo Valve Inc., a manufacturer of ball valves and drilling and production chokes. Since it's inception, the ocmpany has grown from 4 employees to over 400, operating in 15 locations around the world.
Duncan was a founding member of the Petroleum Services Association of Canada, he is an active supporter of STARS Air Ambulance, and is involved in many community associations.
